This is a message from Superintendent Heidi Torix.
Good morning families. ESUSD schools are still set to start on August 20th, 2020. As stated in our last message home, our school year will begin with distance learning. Each school site will send home information with specifics for the first day of school.
Learning materials are being put together for each student, and technology devices will be ready to be picked up on the first day. Back-to-School Night will be held virtually, and messages with dates and times will be sent out later this week. It is highly important parents attend their student’s virtual Back-to-School Night for specific classroom information and online meeting times.
Our district is proud to be offering daily intervention times to students. We commend our staff for their hard work in preparing the start-up to the 2020-21 school year. Parent question and answer forums are being set up for each community for later this week. Another message will follow with the specific date and time for your community. We appreciate your patience and look forward to a different, but successful school year.

Buenos dias familias. Las escuelas de ESUSD aún están programadas para comenzar el 20 de agosto de 2020. Como se indicó en nuestro último mensaje a casa, nuestro año escolar comenzará con el aprendizaje a distancia. Cada sitio escolar enviará información a casa con detalles para el primer día de clases.
Se están preparando materiales de aprendizaje para cada estudiante y los dispositivos tecnológicos estarán listos para ser recogidos el primer día. La Noche de Regreso a la Escuela se llevará a cabo virtualmente y los mensajes con las fechas y horas se enviarán más adelante esta semana. Es muy importante que los padres asistan a la Noche virtual de regreso a clases de sus hijos para obtener información específica sobre el aula y horarios de reuniones en línea.
Nuestro distrito se enorgullece de ofrecer horarios establecidos de intervención a los estudiantes a diario. Felicitamos a nuestro personal por su arduo trabajo en la preparación del inicio del año escolar 20-21. Se están creando foros de preguntas y respuestas para padres para cada comunidad para finales de esta semana. A continuación, aparecerá otro mensaje con la fecha y hora específicas para su comunidad. Agradecemos su paciencia y esperamos tener un año escolar diferente pero exitoso.
